Agile Prototyping

This manual provides a step-by-step guide to “growing” a building, through a perspective on spaces and façades. A space is any open, three-dimensional area within a building, while the façade serves as the outer envelope that interacts with the surroundings. This fresh approach is designed for design teams seeking innovative perspectives.

In the Agile Prototyping course, we explored an eight-part building system: site, core, floor, space, services, structure, façade, and materials. All parts are interconnected, but this manual emphasizes space and façade design while inviting other elements in intermediate collaboration steps. As described by the steps, services are of great importance to consider throughout. Because of this, they are assigned to steps one and seven in the manual.

Advanced Building Design

The Advanced Building Design course emphasizes balancing subject-specific needs. This manual adopts an abstract, collaborative approach, ensuring all building system components can be included without neglecting client requirements. Effective teamwork and initial clarifications are vital for success.
